Patrick Matthews is Of Counsel to MMPS and works directly in the Real Estate Transactional Group. Patrick represents buyers and sellers of residential and commercial real estate, including all types of commercial property, multifamily buildings, cooperatives, and condominiums. Patrick also represents institutional and private lenders in residential and commercial transaction and has extensive experience preparing loan documents, title review and diligence review. Patrick’s experience has also allowed him to become very successful in negotiating short sale mortgage payoffs, lien releases and foreclosure prevention for distressed properties as well as showing an adept ability to cure complex title issues.

Patrick is also adept at negotiating and drafting commercial and residential leases. He has assisted clients in the formation of Limited Liability Companies and Corporations and drafted all necessary documents relating to those entities.

Prior to becoming of counsel to MMPS, Patrick’s previous experience includes all aspects of real estate law as well as representing clients in Surrogate matters, Intellectual Property and Entertainment law, and the sales of businesses including restaurants and laundromats, to name a few.
